Deer Isle
“The house that Ian built”

Ian Pelletier

Ian Pelletier, pictured, recently presented his completed Eagle Scout project to the Reach Performing Arts Center’s Advisory Board: a large storage building, located on the Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary School property, which will house the theater’s sets, scenery and props, and the school district’s maintenance vehicle. Twenty members of the Friends of the Reach celebrated his accomplishment and expressed gratitude to Pelletier at their board meeting on December 4. He was presented with a miniature version of the building, in the form of a gingerbread house, with an inscription, “This is the House that Ian Built.” The DIS junior now has been awarded his Eagle Scout status and also recently presented his project to the Deer Isle-Stonington School Board.
