Island candidates announce write-in status

This week, Adelbert Gross and Donna Brewer have declared that they are write-in candidates for the open three-year term on the Stonington board of selectmen. The other previously reported write-in candidate, Sherry Crelin, has withdrawn her name from consideration.

Stephen York has declared himself a write-in candidate for the CSD school board. He joins the incumbents, Mark Cormier and Walter Kumiega, who turned in nomination papers, in the race for the two open three-year seats. The top two vote-getters will win the positions.
