by Faith DeAmbrose The truck will replace the department’s aging (1986) pumper vehicle and will cost approximately $241,000. Of the money needed, approximately $140,000 will come from the town’s fire truck reserve, $12,000 will be donated from the fire company and the rest will be paid for with borrowed money approved by voters. Once ordered, the truck will take anywhere from six to eight months to be built and delivered. Return to the Island Ad-Vantages home page. |
